It promises to be an extravaganza of delicious food, sound-tracked by perfect summer sounds, with a host of star appearances from the food, music and children’s entertainment world plus camping facilities for festival-goers wanting to get back to nature, chill out and top off their big day out with a night under canvas!

Mark Hix, Bill Granger, Rakesh Ravindran Nair, Jonray and Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, Chris Hruskova and James Graham are among some of the great chefs who will be joning Jamie Oliver giving demos, holding cook-offs and sharing recipes live on the Electrolux Big Kitchen stage.

Alex James’s Cheese Hub launches its brand new, rich and creamy,Guernsey milk artisan cheese Goddess. Festival-goers will be able to sample this new cheese and others as Patricia Michelson from La Fromagerie hosts cheese appreciation tastings alongside Alex.

There will also be a number of top name restaurants at the event including Outback Burger who will be cooking up their specialist, exotic burgers including bison, kangaroo and ostrich. Also Paellaria serving their wonderful chicken and vegetarian paellas and Pommarola Pizza Gardens who will be serving a selection of freshly wood-fired pizzas and homemade Italian delicacies alongside their very own climbing wall. Highly rated local pub restaurant The Muddy Duck will be showcasing their fabulously British cuisine plus a special Muddy Ducklings menu for the younger generation.

The Big Feastival is an event for a good cause and will be raising funds for Jamie Oliver’s Better Food Foundation.

All in all it promises to be a food lovers delight!

Jamie Oliver comments: “Roll on September! The Big Feastival was a great success in south London last year and I cannot wait to take this celebration of the greatest chefs, the best local produce and suppliers and some fantastic entertainment to a more rural location at Alex’s. Not only is Alex hugely passionate about food and music, he has always been a generous supporter of my Foundation, and I can think of no better backdrop for The Big Feastival this year.”

Alex James adds: “I’m very happy to welcome such a great event as The Big Feastival to my farm. I’m particularly excited to host a festival that not only involves the local community, but also supports Jamie’s foundation. I can’t wait to spend a weekend on the farm surrounded by my two favourite things – food and music!”
